Walla Walla High School FBLA Shines at State Competition in Bellevue
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members from Walla Walla High School proudly represented their school and community at the 2025 Washington State FBLA Leadership Conference held in Bellevue this past April. Competing against hundreds of students from across the state, the WaHi chapter delivered an outstanding performance in a variety of competitive events focused on business, finance, technology, and leadership.
More than twenty-nine students from Walla Walla High School attended the multi-day event, which featured workshops, networking opportunities, and rigorous competitions in areas such as Accounting, Business Communication, Marketing, and Emerging Business Issues.
Several students advanced to the final rounds in their respective categories, with seven qualifying for the National FBLA Leadership Conference held this summer in Anaheim, California.
Walla Walla Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Wade Smith, recognized these finalists at the May 20th school board meeting.

Jakob Sullivan – 3rd Place, Accounting II
Nahomi Sotelo-Navarro – 2nd Place, Business Law
Kaitlyn Billingsley – 1st Place, Introduction to Information Technology and 3rd Place, Introduction to Marketing Concepts
Graham Johnson – 2nd Place, Digital Video Production
Cameron Morgan – 2nd Place, Introduction to Business Concepts
Noelia Perez – 2nd Place, Introduction to FBLA
Matthew Yao – 3rd Place, Networking Infrastructures

FBLA is the largest career student business organization in the world, preparing students for careers in business through academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs. Participation in FBLA events allows students to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios and gain valuable skills for the future.
